On Wednesday, October 3, 2012, Terminix will be performing their annual exterior inspection of all the buildings. The work is estimated to take approximately 2 days, and should conclude by Friday, October 5, 2012. Please remember to unlock your back gates in order to make your patios available for inspection. Thank you.

On Tuesday, September 4, 2012 Thain Way will be closed from 8AM to 4PM for street resurfacing.
NO VEHICLES OR BICYCLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE STREET.
All vehicles parked on the street after 8AM will be towed. The sidewalks will remain open.

On Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at approximately 7PM an unknown man attempted to break into a Barron Square home.
He was seen by the resident inside the home and fled when she yelled at him. The police responded, but were unable to locate a suspect.
This should serve as a reminder to all residents to keep all doors and windows locked, be vigilant and to call the police you notice any suspicious activity around our neighborhood.

PALO ALTO, CA: Since the beginning of June, Palo Alto has seen a significant increase
in residential burglaries. Statistical data shows that approximately twenty residential
burglaries have been reported over the past six weeks. Although the burglaries have
occurred throughout Palo Alto, the majority have taken place in the north end of town. The
method of entry continues to be the same as in prior incidents, through unlocked and
unsecured rear doors and windows. Palo Alto Police continues to make burglary

The Palo Alto Planning and Transportation Commission is scheduled to review the Arastradero Road Re-striping Project on JULY 25 at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.  According to the notice from the Commission they will be making a recommendation to the City Council to make the changes permanent. The Commission’s recommendation will go to the City Council for a decision, probably in September (after their summer break). A copy of the Agenda and Staff Report for the July 25th meeting can be found here.

While the Commission may boast of the ‘traffic calming’ effects the project has had, they have glossed over the facts, from their own statistics, that traffic on streets within Barron Park, and especially on Maybell Avenue, has increased significantly as drivers seek ways to avoid the congestion on Arastradero Road.
